Celebrating International Women’s Day with Pip Edwards.

In the spirit of celebrating amazing women and as part of International Womens Day, we’re putting the spotlight on Pip Edwards.

Co-founder and Creative Director of our favourite sportswear label, P.E. Nation, Pip Edwards is the queen of cool. Together with her business partner Claire Tregoning, P.E. Nation has impressively smashed multiple goals and milestones in the six short years since it launched. Passionate and driven, Pip Edwards is the entrepreneur who disrupted the sportswear game and amassed a cult following of fashion-forward activewear enthusiasts along the way.

What did you dream of being or doing when you were younger?

From the age of the 3 I’ve been totally obsessed by fashion and outfits and by the age of 8 was “designing” pieces, and the by the age of 12 was cutting up my wardrobe into DIY looks. I guess it was always a burning passion of mine.

What is the most important piece of advice you have been given?

Be interested, not interesting.

What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of being able to raise a beautiful well rounded son as a single working mum. Even though it has been a struggle and juggle at times, I know I’ve done it on my own, and my son is my greatest joy and driver to life, especially seeing the man he becoming. It makes me realise it was all worth it… the sacrifice, the stress, and the solo motherhood journey was part of my colourful life journey. Being selfless at times to put him first, whilst also chasing my own dreams has been quite the balancing act, but in hindsight, it’s been what has given me great purpose.

What does fashion mean to you?

Fashion is expression. Its exploration. Its pushing boundaries. Its finding who you are. I feel we were all born to stand out and be ourselves, and fashion adds another layer to that. Its can create a vibe and energy and attitude and confidence. Its your second skin.

What are you looking forward to this year?

I’m looking forward to more sunshine, and more travel !!!
