Brunch means Bloody Marys. We’re kicking off the weekend with this amazing recipe by one of our go-to Melbourne hotspots, Arbory. Bottoms up.

INGREDIENTS | Serves 4
Bloody Mary Mix
140ml good-quality tomato juice
30ml passata
Dash Van Dieman’s hot sauce
Pinch horseradish, freshly grated
Dash Worchestershire sauce
2 dashes Lily Q’s BBQ sauce
Dash merlot vinegar
Salt and pepper, to taste
45ml Grey Goose Vodka
30ml fresh lime juice
Plenty of ice
To Serve
Salt and pepper Cucumber, sliced
Pickled onion
Pickled garlic
Pickled cornichons
Pickles olives
Chillies, sliced
Mini bottle of Tabasco
METHOD
Bloody Mary mix
Combine all ingredients.
To Serve
Pour vodka and lime juice into a tall glass. Fill with ice and top with Bloody Mary mix. Stir.
At Arbory we serve with a salt and pepper rimmed glass with a long slice of cucumber, a skewer of various pickled foods (onion, garlic, cornichons, olives, chillies) and finally a mini bottle of Tabasco on the side.
