Wellington’s Denzien Urban Distillery is one of our favourite spots for a cocktail so we’ve teamed up with them to bring you their epic Jalapeño G&T recipe for your after work drinks!
One of Denzien’s most popular festival drinks is the Jalapeño G&T. It’s easy to do at home, tastes super good, and it’s not too hot – just delicious.
Here’s what to do:
1. Grab a jar of sliced Jalapeño peppers, pop three or four slices into your favourite glass, and give them a gentle muddle. If you don’t have a muddler, then squeeze some juice out with a tea spoon, and/or add some of the liquid from the jar.
2. Pour in 60ml of Denzien Te Aro Dry Gin (basically a double-double if you have a jigger).
3. Add ice, and pour over 150ml of East Imperial red label tonic water (formally called ‘Burma’).
4. Gentle stir. Serve and enjoy! Cin-Cin.
