Superette Happy Hour: Williams Eatery Negroni

Williams Eatery in Auckland’s Wynard Quarter is one of our absolute favourites so we’ve teamed up with them to bring you their infamous Negroni recipe for your Friday night drinks!

Charlie from Williams here. This is our fave cocktail, the Negroni. 
 
However, we like to use local gin and vermouth. Both with a bit of wine influence. The gin is aged in old pinot noir barrels, and the vermouth is from renowned wine maker Mt Edward. 
 
Both of these combined create a great Negroni that is more on the bitter side than sweet. Great to start an evening or to have a break from wine or beer.
 
30ml Gin, we use Reid & Reid "Barrel Aged" Gin
30ml Vermouth, we use Mount Edward Vermouth
30ml Campari
Thick slice of orange
 
Stir together in a short tumbler with ice and add the orange slice 
 
Enjoy!
