Auckland hotspot Lilian has quickly become one of our go-to dinner spots. Grilled peaches with whipped ricotta and prosciutto and grape pizza… say no more. These guys are also masters of a cocktail and have kindly shared their Orange and Chilli Margherita for our Friday night drinks!
INGREDIENTS
– 45ml tequila (Lilian uses El Jimador Reposado)
– 15ml Cointreau
– 5ml agave syrup
– Red chilli
– 20 ml Fresh orange juice
– 25 ml Fresh lime juice
METHOD
In a cocktail shaker muddle a tiny amount of red chilli in the bottom with the agave syrup. Then add the rest of the ingredients . Shake vigorously and double strain over ice (preferably a large cube or sphere) into a short rocks glass with a salt rim, garnish with a slice of orange.
