Renowned for their modern silhouettes, tailoring and luxe fabrications and finishings, Camilla and Marc is the result of brother and sister team Camilla Freeman Topper and Marc Freeman. Season after season we’ve adored their structured jackets, comfy knits and statement dresses. Our latest Camilla and Marc addition is the Italian-made footwear range, featuring metallic detailing and wearable prints.

How would you describe the aesthetic and inspiration of your brand?
The CAMILLA AND MARC aesthetic is always about soft tailoring, classic silhouettes and a solid focus on unique, textured fabrications. We are constantly inspired by the different cultures from our travels, specifically art and architecture.
What are your hobbies?
I love cooking for my family and I really enjoy entertaining. Otherwise, I love exercising, reading and meditation.
Describe a typical day for you.
There is no “typical” day for me but my mornings and afternoon usually consist of doing the school run with my children. In between that, you’ll find me in CAMILLA AND MARC HQ meeting with our different departments.
How do you unwind after a busy day?
Cooking, because I find it really relaxing.
What is your favourite food?
What are you favourite pieces from the CAMILLA AND MARC and C&M AW15 collections?
From CAMILLA AND MARC, I love our Moonshadow Blazer. This is such a timeless piece with beautiful silk lapels and gold hardware detailing.
From C&M CAMILLA AND MARC, my current favourite is the Manhattan Coat, which I wore during my recent trip to Europe. The speckled wool and longer length make it so much more interesting than a standard winter coat.
What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I lived in Florence for a year to study my Masters.
What is the last thing you Googled?
I’m always searching for new recipes or cooking techniques and the last things I Google searched for was importers of a particular caviar I had in Paris.
Additionally, attached are some images by the artist James Turrell who has been a significant source of inspiration for both Camilla and Marc at the moment; particularly for this current AW15 collection.
Marc and I are both currently inspired by the American artist James Turrell. The magnificent use of light and space in his light installations is truly awe-inspiring.
