Even if you’re not a die hard whisky fan, the unique campaign from Suntory Japanese Whisky will still manage to impress you.
Recreating iconic landmarks and imagery out of a pretty surprising material, this award winning whisky house teamed up with with creative agency TWBA/Hakuhoho to make these insane ice cubes. Titled “3D on the Rocks”, each tiny sculpture was precisely milled with a CNC router that needed to be stored below freezing to make sure the carving machine wouldn’t melt the ice. Once cut to perfect detail, the Suntory Whisky was poured around the cube for the finishing touch.
Don’t expect these tiny works of art to be in your glass this weekend though as each ice sculpture takes one to six hours to complete – not so easy as just filling up an ice cube tray! Check out how the whole thing is made in the video below.
