It’s Friday, and Thanksgiving, which only means one thing – delicious pumpkiny cocktails!
Trying to find canned pumpkin is like trying to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If you do manage to get your hands on some, you’d be absurd if you didn’t try this delish Pumpkin Pie Martini! A sucker for all thing pumpkin around this time of year, this is literally the next best thing to a real pumpkin pie, plus without the hours and hours of prep. Indulge a little this Friday night and treat yourself!
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. dark rum
1 oz. half and half
2 tbs. canned pure pumpkin puree
1 oz. maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Smash up the graham crackers, cinnamon and sugar together. Get the rim wet and dip it into your cinnamon, sugar, cracker mix. Use maple syrup on the glass and you’ll get extra flavour and sticking power (!)
Combine everything else into your cocktail shaker. Shake like a bandit. Pour and strain into your magnificently rimmed martini glass. Garnish with a little bit of grated nutmeg (fresh, naturally).
