Super List

The quintessential guide to what’s hot on our radar right now…here is the latest Super List.

What we’re eating: Blistered chili corn on the cob: Corn is in serious abundance right now and we can’t get enough the summery yellow vegetable. While we love it simply boiled for an easy afternoon snack, our current favourite involves moving the kitchen outside and enjoying it Mexican style– shucked, thrown on the barbeque and cooked until caramel brown with this mouthwatering Blisted Corn with Chili, lime and cheese recipe: Throw corn on a pre-oiled grill and turn so that it cooks evenly without shriveling or drying out. Serve immediately with chili, lime wedges, salt and cheese laid out for everybody to prepare their own. Easy and delicious.

What we’re reading: Architectural Digest online: The Architectural Digest website is an absolute treasure trove of inspiring interiors, houses and  amazing archival content that you can get lost for hours in. From the world’s most expensive real estate for sale around the world, to pictures inside the homes of Hollywood legends and exclusive looks inside numerous celebrity homes, this website is our new go-to morning bookmark. If only!

What we’re watching: David Attenborough’s Africa: Let’s face it, any wildlife documentary is narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough is going to warm the hearts of its viewers. Following on the success of the amazing BBC Frozen Planet mini series, this time around, the world’s most adored voice heads to Africa. With wildlife footage as you’ve never seen it before, the unmissable series offers a fascinating and magical look at the undiscovered (and un filmed) side of Africa’s five unique regions. In the way that only David Attenborough can, the adored broadcaster injects his signature romantic voice into the natural world as we watch dramatic fighting giraffes, hatching turtles and a look at some of the world’s rarest species. Tuesday night prime time just got seriously good.

On a side note, at 86 years of age (with no signs of retiring yet) David Attenborough doesn’t have a driver’s license, do emails or phone calls and possesses an extraordinary talent at playing the piano – when he’s not gallivanting around the world chasing lions that is. Legend.
