Easy Breakfast Smoothie


Sometimes getting up and ready to go on a Monday morning can be a little bit challenging. Don’t fret, we’ve found a super-charged breakfast smoothie to help you get your engine revving, and it tastes amazing too – bonus!

As most people do, we’ve vowed to eat healthier and exercise more this year. However, sometimes jammed packed mornings can make it hard to get the nutrients you need to kick start your day on the right foot. Luckily we stumbled upon this delicious recipe from My San Francisco Kitchen. The perfect smoothie for a post-workout breakie or just something to get you up and going. We just had to share it with you! 

*Note, you can substitue blueberries for strawberries or raspberries

What you’ll need (makes 2 smoothies)

  • ½ ripe banana
  • ¼ cup fresh organic blueberries
  • ¼ cup frozen organic blueberries
  • ⅓ cup plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Whipped cream and granola for topping (we substituted the whipped cream with a dollop of yogurt instead)

How to

Smoothies have to be among some of our favourite snacks/meals/beverages due to their simplicity! This is SUPER easy to make. Just combine all ingredients into a blender. Blend. Garnish with yogurt, granola and some fresh blueberries.
