15 years in the making, 36 stores worldwide and with more to come, Rag & Bone have gone from strength-to-strength with their clean, crisp designs, British heritage and New York inspired tailoring. Recognised throughout the globe for their quality craftsmanship and sophisticated edge, this international brand is not only producing fashion perfection, they provide the retail experience to match. With their Tribeca Men’s store opening at the end of last year and their London Flagship store opening its doors only two months ago, we just had to get the low down on how these incredible spaces were created.
The Flagship – Soho, London
Located in London’s Soho district, heading back to their roots, Rag & Bones flagship store is definitely one to write home about. Spanning five stories on the corner block, this 14,000 square foot space is now home to the full Rag & Bone range, as well as their European showroom. Incorporating their signature style into the Victorian space, custom flooring and finishings were essential parts of the planning.
Working with 10 full-time artisans on fixtures and furniture, and commissioning artworks by Stanley Donwood, Herakut and Shok-1, quality and craftsmanship is evident throughout, heavily reflecting the ideals that this brand is all about.
The First Men’s Store – Tribeca, New York
Pushing the envelope even further, in September 2016 Rag & Bone opened their very first standalone men’s store and the brand’s “most conceptual retail design to-date”. This 2,300 square foot space is home to the full range of men’s ready-to-wear pieces, Standard Issue Collection, accessories and footwear. With every inch planned right down to the hand-cut brass railing, walnut shelving and custom-made Storm Trooper, every piece contains its own story, a tribute to where the brand began.
Not only customised with exclusive art installations by Joe Hill, Boy Kong and Alexis Diaz, the Tribeca location is home to additional features including the 1979 Porsche 911 SC, smashed by cement in their FW15 campaign, a gaming room and a bar stocked full of Whisky and Scotch for the ultimate day out.
With a clear-cut focus on an exclusive customer experience and the perfect curation to communicate the brand, it’s fair to say that Rag & Bone have totally nailed it and we’re a little jealous of the in-store bar too! With no sign of these guys slowing down, we can’t wait to see what’s up next for this brand’s global domination.
