The Cronut Challenge

If you have a heap of spare time, an abundance of butter and tonnes of patience, then give this world famous Cronut recipe a go at home!

The Cronut Challenge

Dominique Ansel, creator of one of the worlds most delicious morsels, has released his official recipe for what made him famous – the Cronut. A croissant-doughnut hybrid, people wake up super early and wait for hours to try these from the Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City. We aren’t sure if he’s opening the challenge to others, or just showing off just how extraordinary he is by publishing this recipe. One thing’s for sure, with an “extreme” difficulty rating, the three day methodology to create the perfect Cronut isn’t for the faint hearted. The easier option here might be to fly to NYC and wait in line to try one from the man himself. But, if you like a challenge then who knows, give it a go, you might even be the next sweet maker!

Check out the lengthy list of ingredients, and if you’re up for the full challenge, find the entire recipe here.
